Hidden Home Residential BuildingHidden Home Residential BuildingHidden Home Residential Building is an innovative residential architectural project completed in 2012 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates contemporary design elements with traditional Eastern philosophical principles. The 542.8-square-meter structure exemplifies a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic sophistication, featuring a distinctive exterior composed of olive-green stones and fair-faced concrete walls complemented by linear wooden grilles, creating an artistic interpretation of a square curtain. The design philosophy centers on fostering relaxation and open-mindedness while facilitating natural human interactions and connecting occupants with nature. The building's architectural composition is anchored by a courtyard-based layout that defines its laid-back lifestyle approach, incorporating a water wall and thoughtful landscaping to blur the boundaries between real and imaginary spaces. The structure's sophisticated facade system, combining fair-faced concrete, slate stones, and wooden grilles, serves multiple functions: it creates an elegant visual rhythm, provides natural light filtration, and ensures privacy while maintaining spatial permeability. The interior spaces are characterized by vertical wooden shelves and furniture that contribute to a warm, serene atmosphere while preserving the flow between areas. This residential masterpiece, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in creating a health-friendly green building that successfully balances majestic exterior presence with intimate interior comfort, effectively serving as both a secure family haven and a sophisticated contemporary dwelling that embodies the principles of sustainable luxury living.
