Competition Brief

The Future Kitchen Design Awards aims to promote the concept of digital cuisine and smart kitchens to a wider audience, while gaining insights into diverse culinary ideas and creativity from different regions around the world. To BOTINKIT, the "Kitchen of the Future" represents a fusion of smart technology, high-efficiency automation, and human-centric care. It goes beyond mere unmanned operations—it expands culinary possibilities through AI and robotics, such as precise control over temperature, timing, and seasoning to replicate master-level techniques or personalize healthy recipes, and high automation to minimize manual labor.

Why Do We Need to Reimagine the Kitchen?

We hope to transform traditional cooking methods and redefine the relationship between people and cooking equipment, breaking the stereotypical perception of "robot cooking" and demonstrating how technology can empower the preservation and innovation of culinary culture. The works should focus on the theme of "future kitchen" and reflect innovative thinking on future cooking methods, kitchen space and food culture. We're encouraging designers to reimagine the future kitchen across multiple dimensions, including revolutionary cooking methods, kitchen system design, specific product innovations, service and experience design, interior design integration, and holistic kitchen systems.

Technical Requirements

The designs submitted must meet these requirements:

- The works must be powered equipment or systems
- Works can be combined with artificial intelligence to achieve intelligent functions
- The specific application scenario can be a domestic kitchen or commercial kitchen
- The design should consider the ease of cleaning and maintenance
- No material restrictions, no budget restrictions
- The design concept should have the possibility of production within about three years

Grand Prize

GRAN MAESTRO PRIX of 2000 EUR will be distributed as follows:
- First place: 1000 EUR
- Second place: 500 EUR
- Third place: 500 EUR

+ Public Relations Services, including press releases, exhibition of winning works in Italy and abroad, Red-Carpet Black Tie Gala-Night Invitation (contingent upon A' Design Award win, prize varries)
+ Potential internship opportunities with BOTINKIT for standout participants

First place winner will receive an A' Design Award Pro Edition nomination ticket, while 2nd to 10th place winners will receive Digital Edition nomination tickets. These can be used to participate in the A' Design Award & Competition to obtain the grand and coveted A' Design Prize.

The competition is open to independent designers and design students worldwide. No restrictions on nationality or location apply.

3. Optional: Supporting document in PDF format explaining your concept in detail
