A fundamental source of inspiration for this brooch has been the revalidation of worthless material. The confrontation of rusted iron with gold, silver and gemstones does not only contribute complementary aesthetical increase of those materials but also produces a new synthesis. The brooch does convey a certain meaning. Private Collection talks about elapsing time. Everything will destroy but you also see what geologic ages on earth can produce, the boulder opal symbolizes that.
