It’s an old building renovation project made to be a high-class restaurant in Shanghai, China, with only 4 rooms and 1 foyer. Antiques are placed inside to match outside traditional courtyard, connecting indoor and outdoor in vision and creating the vast world in the human mind. When people eating inside, they can enjoy the view of the courtyard, remove the distractions and be relaxed. Next to the courtyard, an area like traditional Japanese architecture "enngawa", it can be a courtyard prospect deck, a passageway, and more importantly, a place where talks happen.
