This redevelopment is envisioned to transfigure a current department store into a skyscraper in Shenzhen, with a 7-storey vibrant and porous retail podium which stacks up various dynamic and organic-form boxes, delivering a new, sustainable and iconic design for the bustling city. The architecture features landscaped public spaces and terraces in the podium, with green balconies along one of the tower’s edges, integrating well with abundant green spaces to provide a healthy ecological ground.
