memories, fun and games are the strong points of "light game". "light game" is a toy that long ago children made with a piece of paper, which children may not remember this game? i've just wanted to transform this wonderful game in a "easy" lamp. or better in a simple, useful, low cost and ecological the diffuser is composed by a lignin paper folded by press-formed, including some inserts which will contain the led lights placed in the inferior part inside the diffuser.

Luca Matta Designer (LMD) blend innovative intelligence with new technology and materials to produce sophisticated design that exceed expectations. With 20 years of diverse experience in designing, Luca Matta has a multiple international award winning works. His curiosity nature and design passion has created LMD in 2009 in Treviso, Italy and now, in 2018, opens a new studio in Shanghai, China. LMD provides design projects from interior, exhibition, furniture, industrial, visual merchandising to architecture concept. Our design approach is to adapt to environment, to society, to different culture and yet functional to our client's needs. Our mission is to bring our different approach to the design world by avoiding fixed design dogma and “Fashion Icon Design”.

LMD - luca matta designer
Nasce a Treviso nel 1974 e si laurea all’ Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia (sezione scenografia) nel 1998. Dal 1995 collabora con lo studio 5/82 di Treviso dove si occupa prevalentemente di Interior design e design industriale; sviluppa inoltre progetti in franchising di saloni e stand per L’Oréal Paris Kerastase, Aveda Corporation e Maletti S.p.a. di Scandiano (RE). Nel 1998 partecipa alla realizzazione di una linea di sedie in Tecno-gel ( vedi rivista Domus n° 821) in collaborazione con Bayer Levercusen e Royal Medica di Vicenza. Nel 1999 coadiuva il regista Marco Sciaccaluga, presso il teatro Stabile di Genova, nella messa in scena dello spettacolo teatrale Lo storpio di Inishmann. Partecipa a numerosi concorsi di design e architettura, nel 2000 viene menzionato al concorso Mido Un progetto per occhiali di Longarone (BL), per un nuovo studio di occhiali a geometria variabile. Ha svolto un’attività professionale varia nel campo del design come testimoniano le numerose pubblicazioni su riviste altamente specializzate quali Domus, Interni, Frame, Archivolto ed Estetica design. Nel 2001 collabora con il regista Mario Corradi alla messa in scena al Teatro di Trapani dell’opera lirica La Sonnambula e realizza con il light designer Maurizio Pizzo e la coreografa Giovanna Quilici lo spettacolo sperimentale Arianna a Mantova presso il Teatro olimpico di Sabbioneta. Nel dicembre 2001 realizza la scenografia del musical Il ricordo più bello presso il teatro Eden di Treviso per la regia di F. Verducci. Fonda nel Dicembre 2002 il gruppo ESC insieme a Gabriele Tiveron che si occuperà fondamentalmente di ARTE multimediale sperimentale. Nel 2004 inizia la collaborazione con CERTRÈ srl di Villorba (TV) specializzata in produzione di vasellame e oggetti in ceramica ad uso domestico. Sempre nel 2004 vince insieme al designer Fabio Ligresti il concorso interno indetto dall' azienda Arrmet di Manzano per il progetto della linea Antani di sedie e tavoli. A S. Giovanni al Natisone per la ditta Buiani Due disegna la linea oops: tavoli e sedie in multistrato colorato. Nel 2005-2006 nel campo del design industriale inizia la collaborazione con le aziende: Dina Meri, Frighetto, Italian Thinking, IMS. Ha insegnato grafica 3d, storia dell’arte e del design all’ istituto Turazza di Treviso. Nel 2007 inizia la collaborazione con l’azienda FrancoLight di Castelfranco. Nel 2008 progetta un calotta per lavaggi per la ditta Maletti. Nel 2009 è premiato al secondo posto per il concorso Axolute Design, per la progettazione di un lavabo in Corian con tecnologia HIS. Incomincia la collaborazione con le ditte SMA e Napol, per la progettazione di camere da letto e complementi di arredo.
