This piece of furniture is unique due to its dynamic shape and innovative way of functionality. Three shelves are arranged in different angles on a steel structure giving the object its distinctive appearance and lightness. Thereby, with this kind of shape bookends are no longer needed, nevertheless books are being prevented from tipping over. Fine craftsmanship and details such as the supporting shims underneath the tilted shelves complete the design. Astrapia not only functions as a bookshelf, but acts as room divider and a sculptural piece as well.
