HanJi Jewelry is a luxury jewelry brand established with the goal of providing individuals with ethically-sourced, custom-made jewelry. They hope to inspire people to support fair trade and ethical brands using responsibly-sourced materials to promote environmental sustainability. The brand was founded by Kaining Wang and Shao-Hsuan Hou, a couple who not only share a love for each other but also a love for design and sustainable actions. Both founders have experience in studying jewelry design, or industrial design and engineering which have helped to give the skillsets and grown interest to finally establish their own fine jewelry brand where they could let their imaginations flow freely through their designs. A big value that they wanted to bring into their newly founded brand was to really emphasize to potential shoppers the importance of raising awareness about issues within the jewelry trade and show transparency about issues affection both mining communities as well as the environment across the globe. This passion is why HanJi Jewelry chooses to only use ethically-sourced materials from suppliers we can trust. By doing this, we can to positively impact the lives of the mining communities that source the gemstones used in some of our designs and encourage people to shop more responsibly.
