A mobile, extendable, modular and multi-functional wagon that can be used as a portable refugee shelter when towed along by a single adult human being. It has a compact configuration that can accommodate a single adult person, and it can fully extend its telescopic slide out sections to provide sleeping accommodations for up to four people. In addition, the wall panels can be detached to allow its frame to conjoin with similar Rush units to create a much larger and shared accommodation.

John Cruz is a designer of humanitarian inventions. With almost 20 years of experience in the computer graphics industry coupled with his engineering education, John tackles to solve some of the most pressing problems facing refugees and homeless people through innovative design. His current area of focus is in designing versatile, mobile, modular and durable accommodations for refugees in camp -settlements. Using these criteria, John designed and invented Rush - an expandable hard-shelled wagon capable of housing up to 4 people, and capable of creating larger temporary structures such as a school or a field hospital.

John Cruz Industrial Design is focused on the innovative conception of humanitarian shelters intended to provide emergency disaster relief and combat homelessness. Sturdy and portable shelters that can keep occupants dry and safe are one of the vital needs of displaced refugees and homeless people. The signature invention of John Cruz Industrial Design is Rush, an enclosed wagon that can easily extend its interior space to accommodate a family of four, or when combined with other Rush units, can create larger emergency support structures such as a field hospital or a classroom. John Cruz Industrial Design strives to provide mobility, versatility, safety and dignity for all refugees and homeless individuals and families through inventive design.
