This project adopted the technology of relative localization, which enabled SLAM to navigate paths over 100 meters with high accuracy. Therefore, they believe that there is a need and necessity for a cloud localization service platform. They will address this issue through the SLAM Augmented Reality Indoor Navigation Using Cloud Positioning Platform, which will be the first SLAM Indicator Navigation research in Taiwan. In the future, the cloud positioning platform will also be applied in museums, hospitals, and parking lots in addition to shopping centers.

Chu-Yi Kao received a B.S. degree from Ling Tung University, Taichung, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 2004 and a Master’s degree from Kun Shan University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 2006. He is now a Ph.D. Graduate Student, PhD Program in Strategy and Development of Emerging Industries with the National Chi Nan University, Puli Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. His current research activities include human-computer interface, augmented reality, visual communication design, mobile phone development, and technology service.
