Lee Kong Wai Connie and Mazing Lee

Connie Lee is the founder and director of Contact Design Group, previously as Contact Design, an award-winning design and innovation company based in Hong Kong. After pursuing her industrial design education in Design Academy Eindhoven, Lee founded Contact Design - specialising in product innovation fusing technology and user experience. Lee has worked on a wide spectrum of co- design projects with partnership of international brands, including Sony, Target Store, illy, Hyundai and start-up ventures to innovate for better future. Some of the iconic designs Connie created include JuLaVie - First's cold press juicer for home, E Bike for future, Wellness Herbal Machine and Innovative Tea Can, which have received international awards. The JuLaVie project was rated as the no.3 trending design project on the Kickstarter; while the Wellness Herbal Machine project has been selected and awarded as ‘Rising Star’ by the Hong Kong Startup Council. In recent years, Lee has successfully evolved from a designer into a design entrepreneur, creating tangible experiences for the society, especially in Health Tech area, innovating healthier lifestyles through design. With the vision to connect with start-ups, technology and business leaders, Lee has co-founded The Contact Store, a lifestyle experience center in Italy and the Hong Kong Science Park. With the mission of “Connect. Co-Design. Create”, it aims to connect different industry players and to engage in meaningful collaboration and conversations. In recent years, Lee has received Red Dot Concept award, Design for Asia award and Smart Gifts Design Awards, and has be granted as “Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award”. Lee has also been selected as 100 Designers by Kun Shan University Annual International Design Symposium. Lee is passionate to nurture young designers through her teaching at School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as visiting lecturer.
