Green Project aims to create a pleasing experience for home composting and attract more Bay Area participants. The designers collaborated with Rodgers Ranch Farm to gain knowledge about composting and collect user feedback. Green Project provides a Kitchen Grinder for solving the difficult problem of preparing food waste and a three-bin Backyard Composter to speed up the process. The composter features a rotating design that increases airflow, creating an optimal compost environment. It also has a water tank base for stability and convenience when adding moisture to the compost.

Han Gao & On Yu Wu
Han Gao is a budding young designer originally from Shenzhen, China. He is currently a forth-year Industrial Design student at California College of the Arts. Han has been studying industrial design for three years. Previously, he had an internship at Oxgut Hose Co. for six months. Han has strong product and user experience design skills. His work includes consumer electronics, home appliances, furniture, sustainable design and interaction design. Han sees design as an integrated system where science, art and social consciousness meet. Therefore, he's interested in fusing technology into design, exploring beauty through experimentation, and promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.
