Nestled in Miyakonojo City, a once-thriving area that experienced decline in the 1980s as shuttered shops became a common sight, TERRASTA is a brand developed for our client, Center City Inc., with local businesses as the main shareholders. The initiative aims to contribute to the revitalization of the city's central area, serving as a new hub for the community by leveraging the existing wealth of resources and people. This project marks a pivotal moment for the city, turning old community hubs into vibrant spaces for future generations. The name TERRASTA is a combination of "Terrace" and "Stage," symbolizing a communal space in architecture—like a terrace—while also representing support for individuals at different stages of their lives. It reflects the essence of growth and shared experience, echoing the brand's mission to create spaces that bring people together. TERRASTA reflects a commitment to sustainability by using local materials and partnering with local people and businesses. It goes beyond the typical hotel concept to become a hub for creativity, commerce, and social interaction, fostering a space where people can connect, grow, and contribute to the ongoing transformation of the city.
