The Engravings on Mount Yi

This project is an experimental work that explores the possibility of combining traditional Chinese calligraphy with modern new media technology. The project is part of a pilot study of ancient characters aimed at unlocking the mysteries of Chinese seal characters. We collected hundreds of data, yi Mountain stone as an example to study the character of seal cutting, structure, writing. The project has also aroused social repercussions, and many people who are interested in traditional culture think my research is of some significance. Yi Mountain stone is qin Shihuang unified the world, issued the "book with text" law after the standard xiaozhuan font, its role is like the xinhua dictionary now, to standardize the character character. The original stone has been lost, its style and artistic status is still epoch-making significance. The biggest challenge of the project was the consideration and design of the font structure, which took a lot of time for each character. In addition, the design of information visualization has also been carefully designed. The poster presents basic information of the font in "Yi Shan Shi", people can see the 3D model of the font by scanning the TWO-DIMENSIONAL code on the poster, increasing the fun of the experience. The addition of augmented reality is a highlight for us. The specific design content includes font standardization design, information visualization design, poster exploration, AR experience technology. The project began in September 2021 and ended in October in Liaoning Province, China. It will be exhibited at the Museum of Chinese Characters in November 2021.
