Okan Ovacik - Monte Firefly Collection
Okan was born in Malatya in 1993. In 2013, he graduated from the Architectural Restoration Department of the Balıkesir University. He conducted the restoration projects of the structures that are among the most important landmarks of the historical texture of Ayvalık such as Küçükhan, Podemos Hotel, and many other houses. To this day, he continues to run restoration projects.

An artistic journey in the peaceful shores of the Northern Aegean, in Türközü Village of Ayvalık… These works, kneaded with the best raw materials in the world, are an aesthetic pleasure and an elegant representation of subjectivity in the texture of life. Monte not only produces unique porcelain products, but also pioneers change. By establishing a team predominantly made up of women, she offers hope and a source of income to the local people in rural life beyond agriculture. While spreading the love of art and craft with the training she provides on porcelain production, she presents the fertility of the soil in porcelain plates with the olives and vegetables she grows in her garden. Under this roof, art, sustainable living and social transformation come together. Monte's vision is a bridge that blends the craftsmanship of the past with the needs of modern life... And each piece of porcelain is one of the stones of this bridge.
