Ekin Ç. Turhan - Onat Öktem, the lead designer of the winning work The Mall explains “The Mall is located on the desert. The design idea is based on dissolving the building program to create a cultural and commercial district out of it, which will influence its surrounding. The urban spaces integrated to the complex will house many activities and enrich the cultural interaction in the area. Instead of acting like a detached closed building, it will support the street life in the whole area.
