Instructors and students from Mahidol University International College, Thailand, developed the theme, visual communications, and stage presentations for the Mahidol University Orientation 2025 which is a one day event organized on July 29 at Prince Mahidol Hall, Salaya Campus. The annual event welcomed more than 6,500 freshmen across three sessions, each lasting about two hours. The theme of the event this year is Be Your Own Fireworks highlighted potential of students to shine in their own unique ways.
Dr. Dynaya Bhutipunthu serves as a full-time lecturer within the Communication Design Program at Mahidol University International College, Thailand. With over a decade of international experience, her professional and pedagogical background spans both the United States and Thailand. Dr. Bhutipunthu’s areas of expertise covers Brand Identity and Communication, Environmental Graphic Design, Data Visualization Infographics, Responsive Design, Motion Graphics, Immersive Interactive Design, Design Service, and Design Research. Her research portfolio is characterized by a multidisciplinary and cross-cultural approach, frequently exploring the intersections of visual communication, music, and technology. A significant portion of her work involves the synthesis of design and performance, such as integrating motion graphics within orchestral environments. Dr. Bhutipunthu’s creative output is deeply rooted in social advocacy and collective well-being. She specializes in leveraging visual media to address contemporary social challenges and enhance accessibility. Notable among her projects is the development of audio-reactive visuals designed to facilitate an inclusive live concert experience for the hard-of-hearing community, demonstrating her commitment to using design as a tool for social equity.
The design works were designed by Mahidol University International College's students and faculty for the Mahidol University Orientation event.
