EDUCATION:
Alberto Vitelio was born in Santiago, Chile in 1990. He graduated from Duoc UC as Industrial Designer in the year 2013.
EXPERIENCE:
His father and grandfather are welders, from them he learned this process and made his first furniture line called Linon (2013). Since then he has dedicated to the develop of new products that stand out for the use and discover of new artisan processes and techniques possible to practice in Chile. Since 2016 he's been dedicating to teaching.
Vision
“A product is more than an object defined for what you can see. Every object has a history, every new creation has a feeling and every feeling has a circle of ups and downs that makes it evolve. This evolution shows how you visualize and create a product in your head before its materialization.
I enjoy this method of giving form to an idea first through a drawing, that can change during the fabrication process. During this long process is when you can see the influence of our personal cycles, that transform this objects and lead us to results that we couldn’t think of in the beginning”.

NCCh, is a collection of books that record and communicate the new national design, focused on creatives who start their career from the new millennium. Books with contemporary content and a simple and close formal development, to be able to reach a transversal public and not only professionals of the specialty.
This book seeks to document the projects of designers and offices that have played a relevant role in the development of the discipline. Elaborating a historical account to contextualize the contemporary creation in Chilean design according to the different political-social processes lived in Chile during the XXI century.
In its first volume it is dedicated to DESIGN PRODUCTS. Book that compiles and exposes what has been done by the new creators and national offices during the last 10 years. This compendium selects 36 outstanding designers, grouped into three sections; Designers, Chilean designers abroad and New Generation.
