Designer Interview
Interview with Creative Media at Wednesday 9th of April 2014
FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
CM: I always wanted to be a designer from an early age, and it seemed the natural thing to persue it as a career!
FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
CM: Creative Media is a boutique design agency that has been successful for over 10 years in the delivery of leading-edge design. Our success is largely down to the passionate, ambitious and talented people involved, but in terms of outcome it is the marriage of people and process that makes us tick.
FS: What is "design" for you?
CM: The art of making things - anything - look good, AND be perfect for their function.
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
CM: Everything - interiors, websites, packaging, branding, newspapers, brochures - I enjoy it all.
FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
CM: At the minute, the interior design for CREST - it was the first time I'd completed an interior design project, and feel it turned out very well!
FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
CM: Flyers for a bar I worked in.
FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
CM: Any
FS: When do you feel the most creative?
CM: When I'm inspired by seeing other great design.
FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?
CM: I enjoy it all.
FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you?
CM: Keep going!
FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself?
CM: A bit of both!
FS: Do you have any works-in-progress being designed that you would like to talk about?
CM: Too many to mention!
