Interview with Natsuyo Ozawa at Saturday 17th of March 2018 ![]() FS: Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator? NO: I have been work as a graphic designer almost 12years now.And past 6years, I changed my place Japan to Taiwan.So my half of career is in Taiwan. FS: How did you become a designer? NO: I start my career from flyer design for my friends' club event. Because I would like to support my friends I met in the club. And I like the design which possible to tell something without a word. FS: What are your priorities, technique and style when designing? NO: I quite care about following three things.1. The purpose of that design.2. How much I can visualize the concept of the client.3. How that design works in the social after. FS: Which emotions do you feel when designing? NO: I quite exciting the initial idea part and presentation to the client and discussion for that.Of course, final printing part also makes me exciting. FS: What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer? NO: I love to think a lot of things, like why this is like this or who act like this, and if this part change like that how it will be. I love to think that kind of things. Actually, a lot of things in the world has a simple rule. I love to think and find those simple to at different part and express by design. FS: What is your growth path? What are your future plans? What is your dream design project? NO: I want to have more categories and editing skill, and grow up my design skills. FS: What are your advices to designers who are at the beginning of their career? NO: If someone wants to be a designer, I might advise her or him, listen more what the client needs. FS: You are truly successful as a designer, what do you suggest to fellow designers, artists and architects? NO: The focus on the essence of that project and drawing that originality. FS: What is your day to day look like? NO: Every weekday morning, I check some news on the internet with having breakfast, I go to the office, check the task of that day and start work. As much as possible, I set the meeting with a client in the morning or after the lunchtime. As much as possible don't work overtime and relax at home or chat with my friends. FS: How do you keep up with latest design trends? To what extent do design trends matter? NO: I don't much follow the design trend, but I much care about the new application or have an ear to the ground. FS: How do you know if a product or project is well designed? How do you define good design? NO: Good design is that can fill the client needs. FS: How do you decide if your design is ready? NO: Could take a consensus with the client. FS: What is your biggest design work? NO: For now, planning and shooting photo to SNS post to a newly established brand company was biggest design work for me. Because of that works, I could make a fun of that brand from zero bases. FS: Who is your favourite designer? NO: Jean-Paul GoudeBruno Munari FS: Would you tell us a bit about your lifestyle and culture? NO: Physics books and nature is always good to give me good inspiration. So I read the books and strolling the park or riverside my day off. FS: Would you tell us more about your work culture and business philosophy? NO: In each project, not just design for the client, find own meaning in that project. FS: What are your philanthropic contributions to society as a designer, artist and architect? NO: To make smile someone. FS: What positive experiences you had when you attend the A’ Design Award? NO: I could have the confidence of my own design skill. and my mother and teacher were happy for that.
