Interview with Venkatesh Kalidoss at Sunday 29th of April 2018

FS: Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?
VK: I Was Working in Prashant Pradhan Architects, India Last Year. This Year I Am Working in Binaa in Istanbul. Its Basically a Research Firm. I Did Architecture as Undergraduate Course.

FS: How did you become a designer?
VK: Its Just a Passion That Drove Me and Its Kind of a Hobby Activity.

FS: What are your priorities, technique and style when designing?
VK: I Rely on Hand Sketch in the Beginning of Design Stage . Then I Do Physical Model for a 3 Dimensional Design Process. Then the Presentation With Rendering.

FS: Which emotions do you feel when designing?
VK: I Feel Free and Relaxed When I Design. Also I Listen to Music When Designing. The Most Exciting Part of Design Is When I Sketch by Hand Sketch. The Journey of the Design Is Interesting and at the Same Time U Need Patience to Refine the Design in the Best Way Possible.

FS: What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer?
VK: It Was During My College Time. I Had a Furniture Design Subject in Second Year of College During My Architecture Course. Later I Kept Sketching Furniture on Later Days on My Personal Interest in That Subject Even After the Course Got Over.

FS: What is your growth path? What are your future plans? What is your dream design project?
VK: I Look Forward Always to Create the Most Efficient Furniture Possible.

FS: What are your advices to designers who are at the beginning of their career?
VK: Always Rely on Handsketch as It Has the Direct Connection of Thinking From Ideas to Hand . And U Can Use Digital for Presentation

FS: You are truly successful as a designer, what do you suggest to fellow designers, artists and architects?
VK: I Am Young Designer Myself

FS: What is your day to day look like?
VK: Too much Of Work as of now

FS: How do you keep up with latest design trends? To what extent do design trends matter?
VK: I Do Not Follow Trend

FS: How do you know if a product or project is well designed? How do you define good design?
VK: It Has to Be Well Refined . Sketches Has to Be Done to Get a Good Design Anytime. List of Factors Like Sustainability, Space Saving and More Are Considered to Define a Good Design.

FS: How do you decide if your design is ready?
VK: When You Get the Feel of You Cannot Add Anymore to the Design

FS: What is your biggest design work?
VK: Last Adesign Award Work

FS: Who is your favourite designer?
VK: I Do Not Follow anyone

FS: Would you tell us a bit about your lifestyle and culture?
VK: Travel. I Travel a Lot to Know More About Different Culture and Lifestyle . Right Now I Am Working in Istanbul. Last Year I Was Working in Gangtok, Himalayas, India

FS: Would you tell us more about your work culture and business philosophy?
VK: Its Better to Work Alone as You Get the Complete Freedom. I Can Work From Anywhere I Want. So That I Can Keep Travelling

FS: What are your philanthropic contributions to society as a designer, artist and architect?
VK: A Designer Could Truly Help by Starting Out Small and Helping Peers and Friends Immediately Around Himself and Sharing Skills He/she Has With Them. The Responsibility of Dealing With the Environment Is Just a Effort by Making Every Design Ecologically Sensitive/friendly.

FS: What positive experiences you had when you attend the A’ Design Award?
VK: Normally There Is No Great Job Opportunities for Young Designer . Through a Design Award I Get Some Value.
