DESIGN NAME: EasyBeer
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Server (food-tray)
INSPIRATION: The project was inspired by the desire to give a special aesthetic view of beer supplying and a desire to prevent waiters from awkward moments associated with spilling beer in the service process. Traditions associated with beer should be shaped every step of the way, from the cultivation of hops to the consumer. The image of the object is also analogous to the atmosphere of the bar: bar counter, as mobile bar counter.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main issue in pub is quick and qualified serving. This food-tray helps to serve one or more tables at once, however glasses are fixed on the server. Otherwise, the importance is not only function but also aesthetic view of this process.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Double-sided food-tray consists of two hole rows for glasses per four glasses in each line. The glasses are leaved on the table and get away from the form while you are moving down the food-tray. So, it is easy to leave the possible number of glasses on the table just in one move. Placing a tray with glasses on the table, you need to lower the tray down and pull it toward to you. Thus it is possible to leave on the table number of one or two rows of glasses.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2015 and finished in February 2015

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This food-tray made of solid oak without glue, paint or glaze usage.
It has double-sided look, in which holes made with cutting 2d technology.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: All sizes are chosen in accordance with ergonomic aspects, more than that the holes are made with a glance of size variety of standard glasses (diameter of the hole is smaller than the upper diameter of glass).
Width: 250 mm, length: 510 mm, hight: 20 mm.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The main issue was to solve the problem of serving pubs, bars and to save time and energy of the waiters. Form-making directly goes after main function that is serving beer. This form faces two actions: transportation and releasing glasses from food-tray.
CHALLENGE: This food-tray was designed for mass production for everyday using in pubs or restaurants. Using natural material reflects longstanding history of culture traditions of making use of beer. Otherwise wood shows connection with nature what is the symbol of "beginning" and evident using the object of design.
