| DESIGN NAME: Lucylle PRIMARY FUNCTION: Landscape Lamp INSPIRATION: The peace and serenity of summer night inspired the designer who wanted to reproduce this calm tranquility. In wild nature, we find the light of the stars and the fireflies twinkling dance in bushes as the key ingredients for this magic mood. By transferring these images to the urban landscape, we created a light source that sways in the wind, recreating these feelings of spiritual beauty. Moving in the wind Lucylle creates the fascinating dance of light and shadows allowing the nature reveal itself in the architecture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The light is associated with tall stalks of grass or reeds and fireflies hovering above them. The weightless and airy device does not overload the surrounding space, but only creates a light halo for light accents, attracting looks. Flexible conductive spokes smoothly move the light, swaying in the wind. The unique and expressive design allows you to integrate it into projects with a wide variety of tasks, creating a unique space in which it is used. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The product is designed for stationary installation in the ground in open spaces and better reveals the design features of mass placement. After installation, no consumer intervention is required, and the static or dynamic appeal of the play of light is created by natural atmospheric conditions. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The development started in Moscow at the end of 2017, using the experience of the Italian founder. In the preliminary tests, experiments were carried out with the introduction of different types of diffusers to achieve soft diffused light, and bars of different flexibility to ensure a balance of flexibility and stability. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The lamp made of an eco-friendly aluminum column on which two conductive rods made of tempered steel are fixed, feeding an energy-saving frosted LED light. The LED at the top is covered with an aluminum plate, which reduces light pollution. The safety of the lamp is ensured by an external power supply unit. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Height - 1450 mm, base diameter- 48 mm, lamp diameter- 40 mm, Voltage- 24V, CRI >80, Power- 1W, IP65, Class III, Ligth color options: 3000K, Blue, Amber, Green, Red TAGS: Lucylle, Martini Rus, Landscape Lamp, light, poise, lighting, decorative, elegant, nature RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The aim of the study was to create the perfect concise lamp that will naturally integrate into the urban landscape, while evoking associations with wildlife, creating tranquility and comfort. Light designers and engineers conducted comprehensive research, including experimental measurements, calculations, and the development of drawings with design data to recreate the exact movement of an insect hovering over a plant. CHALLENGE: The main challenge in the design was to recreate a static lamp with a moving light part that recreates the dynamics of a flying moth, the engineers sought to embody not a banal massive lighting solution for the landscape, but to convey the natural movement in metal. To create the flexibility and elasticity embodied in the metal, we tested different steel alloys, experimented with the cross-section of the conductors, checking their strength, elasticity, resistance to fracture and corrosion.
