When designing a duplex apartment, the staircase is one of the most important features. To connect the fragmented space in this duplex apartment, the designer used vertical circulation to soften the division, along with a tall-standing cuboid as the main wall, which penetrates through the first and second floor. The main wall is also used as a division between the living room and the dining area, adding an ensure feeling when dining, while the light shine through the engraved pattern on the wall, creating a change between shadow and light.
