Peregrina is a 1900s era stage costume supported by a set of matching accessories and an Edwardian slip made from repurposed, antique and period accurate materials. The pattern for the suit is simplistic to reflect the level of design and construction capability that would have been expected of a home sewist in that timeframe. What is truly innovative about this suit is that the main components are reversible. This interchangeability provides a series of outfits from just one setup. This transformation is a nod to the tailor mades of the era and eases the packing burden of 1900s era travel.

Kimberly Phipps-Nichol
Hailing from a family of matriarchs, Kimberly is a neuro-spicy only child whose mother (on many occasions) had to caution others: “Don’t be offended by Kimberly, her brain just works differently.” Kimberly’s mom taught her to sew at the age of 5, unlocking the beautiful world of form and fabric at an early age. All the women in Kimberly’s family had an addiction to textiles and fiber arts, which they gladly shared. For over 30 years Kimberly has worked in architecture, planning and design while also making unique, wearable works of art. She is grateful to have her work featured by: Dallas Morning News, Bust Magazine (NYC), Reno Magazine, Clever Magazine, Paper City Houston, Houston CityBook, Houston Chronicle, Modern Luxury Houston and on Great Day Houston. Kimberly has guest lectured at Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, Tulane University in New Orleans and at the University of Houston, Downtown. In 2023 she was named one of Houston's 50 Most Influential Women, and in 2025 recognized as a “Design Icon” by the International Interior Design Association.

RoKi Design creates silk-based wearable works of art including scarves, costumes, clothing, accessories, and home accents. The RoKi Design collection consists of three lines: -Purpose Inspired Scarves - Scarves custom-designed to honor and benefit charitable organizations committed to helping those in need and improving communities locally and beyond. -Artist Collaborations - Scarves created in partnership with a diverse group of emerging and established artists from both locally and around the world, with a focus on under-represented artist populations. -Re-Purposed and Vintage – Reversible costumes and clothing made with interchangeable silk scarf remnants for lightweight travel and a sustainable, flexible wardrobe. Accessories and home goods crafted from vintage silk scarves and up-cycled luxury fabrics.
