Located in a landmark high rise in Istanbul, this 346 square meter apartment redefines urban living through reflection and material precision. A mirrored ceiling conceived as a fifth facade captures the skyline by day and city lights by night, integrating the exterior into the interior. Brushed stainless steel panels and full height glazing intensify light and depth, while sculptural furnishings are embedded within the architecture. The result is a residence that transforms elevation, light and movement into a continuous spatial experience.

Noyan Berkman is an Istanbul based interior designer working primarily on residential projects across Turkey, from urban apartments to coastal villas. His work is shaped by a close understanding of people and the way they live, with each project developed as a response to individual rhythms, habits and expectations rather than a fixed style. Influenced by a cross cultural background and constant travel, he draws from architecture, fashion and contemporary culture. He approaches each project as a distinct composition, where materials, art and spatial planning are used to translate a client’s lifestyle into a clear and lasting environment. Berkman focuses on creating spaces that feel personal, grounded and enduring, with materials and decisions intended to remain relevant over time.

The residence was commissioned by a culturally engaged private client with an international lifestyle and a strong interest in contemporary art and design. As a frequent traveler drawn to dynamic urban environments, he sought a home that would reflect both movement and personal expression. The brief called for an interior that feels cinematic during the day and atmospheric at night, maintaining a constant dialogue with the skyline. The client envisioned a space influenced by the creative energy of cities such as Los Angeles and Miami, yet firmly grounded in Istanbul’s evolving luxury culture and architectural identity.
