Govy is a ceramic tableware collection developed through layered clay construction. Thin clay slabs are laminated and compressed to generate wood grain patterns that emerge from the internal structure of the material rather than applied decoration. Because the grain is embedded within the ceramic body, it continues seamlessly across the interior, exterior, and edges of each piece, unifying visual expression and material structure. Developed through extensive testing of clay compatibility and form prototypes, the collection includes multiple tableware forms and four wood tone color variations.

An independent ceramic designer and artist working between material research and object-based practice. Their work engages layered clay techniques, including nerikomi, as well as other material processes, exploring how structural operations generate visual coherence and spatial variation. Through long-term experimentation and self-initiated projects, they develop both functional objects and sculptural works that balance material complexity with lived experience. Their practice contributes to contemporary craft and design discourse by demonstrating how traditional ceramic techniques can be reinterpreted as adaptable material systems.
