Daniel Mato is an industrial designer and the founder of the lighting studio Loomiosa. His design philosophy maintains a balance between organic geometry and modern architecture. His creations are characterized by the convergence of digital innovation and physical craftsmanship, utilizing 3D printing and anodized aluminum to realize complex geometric forms. This methodology allows for the development of both statement lighting pieces and occasional sculptural works. Daniel’s practice relies on translating digital patterns into physical structures, specifically focusing on the interplay between light and complex geometry. His studio provides bespoke and collection-based objects for the international design market, emphasizing aesthetics and precise engineering in every piece.

Loomiosa Lighting
Loomiosa is a Budapest-based, exclusive lighting manufactory founded in 2018 by designer Daniel Mato. From the very beginning, the brand aimed to create iconic, characterful light fixtures that immediately stand out from the competition and capture attention. These lights are not merely sources of illumination, but sculptural design objects that add a new dimension to any interior. The brand’s signature lies in its bold yet harmonious forms, inspired by the organic shapes of nature as well as modern architecture and sculpture. The dynamic appearance is created by the rhythm of anodized aluminum tubes positioned at varying angles, held together by a carefully designed, 3D-printed central core. The result is a flowing, sculptural form made of simple lines, brought to life through the play of light and shadow. One of the brand’s early successes was the Leaf model, which won Platinum Award at the A’Design Award in 2019, internationally recognizing the uniqueness of Loomiosa’s creative approach. Over the years, the manufactory has presented its works at several prestigious international and domestic exhibitions including Maison & Objet in Paris, Downtown Design Dubai, Salon Budapest, Blickfang Vienna, Ambiente Frankfurt. Each piece is a work of art in itself: not merely a light source, but a unique design object. The combination of meticulous craftsmanship, modern technology, and artistic vision results in lamps that proudly represent contemporary design on the international stage.
