It was made to protect people from extreme conditions and the mobility rights for the people who need the mobility assistance. It has lots of add-on utilities such as, air conditioner, heater, mobile recharger, free Wi-Fi and digital signage that people can confirm the bus number, audio guidance, live location staying inside of it. Also It provides indoor chairs for disabilities and pregnant people, waiting zone for strollers, wheelchairs and hearing loop for people who have hearing difficulties.

Seongdong-District Office
Seongdong's 'Seong' means city and 'Dong' means east, referring to the eastern side of the castle walls that surrounded the capital city of Seoul. Seongdong-gu is a waterfront city with the Han-River, Jungnang-River, and Cheonggye-River flowing through it, and the western part of Wangsimni, the transportation center of northeastern Seoul, is home to pleasant residential areas overlooking the Han River, while the eastern part is home to automobile distribution and maintenance also IT knowledge industries. Seongdong-gu is a local government that strives to become a sustainable city where people can enjoy happiness today and hope for tomorrow through the experience of warm technology and innovation based on smart inclusion, so that residents can be proud to live in Seongdong. This project, 'Seongdong-type Smart Shelter', was selected for the 2020 Smart Town Challenge organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and was planned along with the 'Smart Public Transportation Information Kiosk', 'Walking Notification Service', and 'Smart Safe Walking Service', which are currently in operation, and have become the most beloved policy in Seongdong. In 2023, the Smart Smoking Booths and Smart Crime Prevention System of Promenade set an example of a close-to-life administration that utilizes 10 million technologies to prevent social conflicts and crimes. The city continues to implement smart living policies that integrate advanced technology into the daily lives of residents.
