| DESIGN NAME: Perier PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sideboard INSPIRATION: A journey that you will enjoy for the pleasure of your eyes... Here is Perier's source of inspiration. Interpreting the furniture design approach brought by modernism as an alternative with a retrospective perspective.Soft touches, thin metallic elegance with high legs. And warmth blended with woodwork. All together, they serenely form the foundations of the Perier product family. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Perier Sideboard is a furniture that can be used in all interior spaces, especially the dining room. While it can be used as a storage area with its 500 liters internal volume, the upper surface can be used for display purposes. It provides an aesthetic appearance with its symmetrical leather bag concept cabinet doors and side walls on the sides. It also has soft textured touches that help acoustics. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It has modules of different sizes that are compatible with various spaces. Thanks to its Touch-Open type mechanism, it is equipped with door mechanisms based on a simple working principle, free from unnecessary handle details. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Perier Sideboard is designed by Ceyhun Akin Industrial Design Studio at December 2023, and it started to be produced on 10th of January 2024. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Materials and production technology of Perier Sideboard design are as follows;MDF wood cutting and painting, laser metal cutting, Metal polishing and titanium plating, Leather cutting and sewing workmanship SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Measurements of the Perier Sideboard design are as follows; width is 240 cm, height is 76 cm and depth is 55 cm. TAGS: retrospective, Luxury, Sideboard, Livingroom, wood, furniture, interior design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The brand's fashion language is earth tones and flowing forms. The metal details used increase the added value of the product and aim for a luxurious appearance. CHALLENGE: One of the main difficulties encountered in the design process is designing forms and details that are suitable for the deep-rooted structure of the brand. Manufacturability of the design details is another challenge that faced during production process.
