| DESIGN NAME: Sapphire PRIMARY FUNCTION: 43m Fast Planing Hybrid Motor Yacht INSPIRATION: The Sapphire minerals styling with clean and clear proportions through geometrical elements and wide shutlines give the yacht in profile and different views not only an Avant-Garde but also contemporary stance. It was important to have the core element of the yacht in the focus. Be in the trend and open to new technologies to get interesting for younger customers as well and in combination with a timeless elegance to be matured next to the current yachts. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Sapphire is a fast paced yacht with a hybrid jet propulsion system on board. She is not only enviroment friendly by crusing speed but also in the harbor. Features are centered saloon with a wide lounge & full height windows with direct access to the master bedroom, 2 seperate closet rooms, a huge bathroom that also consists of a massage room & a jaccuzi. It also consists 4 VIP guest queen sized bedrooms with their own bathroom. It is all designed to have easy and private access to the lower deck. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: If requested, the planing hull of Sapphire can go very fast in full speed and according to the efficient hybrid system, she can cruise for a long distance in slower speeds. In addition to diesel main engines, Sapphire can offer a less vibration and quieter cruise with electric shaft generators. The 20m2 Hard-Top, can be covered as an additional feature with solar panels. Sapphire has Water Jet propultion system allows to cruise in shallow waters like Mediteranean sea. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project’s designing process started in October 2018 in Italy Milano and finished in February 2019. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This project is designed by 7seas yacht design team. Sapphire provides a fast adaption to the yacht industry with all related requirements. She has a well balanced character to reach the future yacht design and construction demands without reducing the comfort and speed of a prestige transportation product. With this market research, it was collected the general specifications of the planing yachts from 35 meters up to 45 meters. Necessary points were compared with a chart table and it allows to determining the general lines of the project. This market position chart provides to defining this project’s differs from other sample yachts in terms of luxury and sustainability with hybrid technology and modern style. CHALLENGE: The Design DNA is developed with high attention to shipyard production standards in Design, General Arrangement, and Hull Simulation. NAME: 7seas yacht design PROFILE: The multidisciplinary, dynamic and innovative 7seas yacht design team consists several years of qualification in different yacht related industries. Designer Matthias Krenz with automotive design background, designer Alp Olguner with industrial design experience and architect Chrystelle Guisso with qualification in interior design. In University where they worked and developed 4 different motoryacht and sailboats until they started in summer 2018 a new project to share their own vision of an additional project with an hybrid-planing hull in topic to establish together their own business. |
