| DESIGN NAME: Three Sisters PRIMARY FUNCTION: Necklace INSPIRATION: The main inspiration for this design was the memory of three little sisters that once were sharing happiness, sadness and all the moments of life without knowing that in their adulthood, destiny is going to move them in separate directions in three different countries. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Followed by the inspiration concept, I created 3 peach flowers as a symbol of 3 sisters and the white woven pearl surface refers to their memories from the time, they were still together. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This necklace can be worn perfectly by business women or brides and also in smart casual or elegant events. White and peach tone pearls are the most preferred colors by women. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Project idea started in October 2018 and this edition finished in December 2018 in Lucerne, Switzerland. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: My design idea initially started with hand sketches on paper. Then I continued with the physical model and computer program, where I could design and experiment various modules in order to achieve the best harmony. This necklace is without any metal structure and is made by weaving technique. It is made of pearls, gold and diamonds. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Pendant: 3.5*3.5 cm , 25 cm length. 60 white pearls 4mm width, 18 peach color fresh water pearls, 66 white pearls 6mm, 3 diamonds, 1 white gold bead and one magnetic gold clasp. TAGS: Pearl Necklace, Pearl Jewelry, Bridal Design, Buisiness Look, Black Tie Look, Fine Jewellery, Hand Made, Luxury RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As a self-taught jewelry designer, I had to search a lot about the jewelry techniques and terms, especially in pearl field. I was also searching the existing pearl jewelries in the market and the necklace desired/used by women. This process helped me on the one hand to develop my own distinct as well as specific style in order to keep the pearls in a simple and classic fashion and combining it with a new design flavor. CHALLENGE: One of the challenges during the development of this design was to attach the flowers to the surface. Since everything in this necklace is by weaving technique, mounting the diamonds was another complication in this project.
