| DESIGN NAME: Primecare Paediatric Wellness Centre PRIMARY FUNCTION: Paediatric Clinic INSPIRATION: Comfort is the touchstone of design in this airy paediatric clinic. We want to create a clinic that can give visiting patients and families can feel at home in this soothing atmosphere with fresh and modern aesthetics. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Comfort is the touchstone of design in this airy paediatric clinic. The selection of materials and colour throughout the clinic emphasis openness; glass and wooden slats bring ample light into the space while the extensive use of soft hues and natural texture instills a sense of calmness.The wooden walls are oriented vertically to add height and enhance spaciousness. Upon entering, visitors are greeted with a commodious reception, unaware that the consultation room is just to their side, concealed behind a door that blends seamlessly into the stylish walls. New-borns have the privilege of relaxing beside the windows adjacent to the reading area. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Nov 2017 in Hong Kong and finished in Jan 2018. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: As the kids are very small, we use plastic laminate and corian artificial stone, vinyl floor to prevent scratches & easy maintenance. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: Comfy, Relaxing RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: Our client Dr.Chan requested to have a larger waiting area, and a separate room for new born baby. For the limited of the space, we relocate the reception counter towards the entrance by adding a new born baby area at the back of reception.
