| DESIGN NAME: Traces of Memory for the Timeline PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The owner of this residential space is a designer, with the inspiration of childhood times and memories; differing to the common square layout, the long and narrow space presents more childhood impression to the residents. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The high degree of flexibility allows for the free creation of unique living venue based on private collections. The style is presented using the fusion between modern and partial classical details, with the addition of vintage materials, while the little amount of French details with exquisite color planning forms a unique space demonstrating timelines and art fusing the 60s, the 70s till the present days, thereby escaping from the specifications of style. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The corridor leading to private spaces is arranged with several colored arc door panels according to the personality preferences of the residents, forming an end view while also demonstrating the personality of the owner for each private space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The vintage quality of the dust area is gradually fused into the open space via the ancient texture with a stone luster of the foyer, such that the flooring, the furniture and the lights all feature the quality of being used. The public area allows for the co-existence of the living room, dining room and kitchen. The large-piece of well-executed television wall and the blue aquarium demonstrate a modern sentiment, while the door panels, the exquisite French carvings on the ceiling as well as the wooden shutter blades demonstrate a classical atmosphere; the slight classical sofa with high color saturation defines the spatial color, where the ratio used allows both to exist in ingenious harmony. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 281 square meters TAGS: Interior Design, Residential ,House,Space RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The refreshing greyish-blue defines the dining room and kitchen space, while the petite English antique dining table shortens the distance between the family members; the small-sized rose gold chandelier suspending from the top reduces the sense of pressure to jointly create the partial English-style ambience. The distance between the dining table and the bar conforms to the needs better for the usage, thereby surmounting the rules of perfect visual dimensions, putting user perspectives before aesthetical proportion in order to construct a relaxing space with style. CHALLENGE: The private space is concentrated on both sides of the space, while the master bedroom demonstrates a neutral tone with the classical and retro styles, allowing the old and the new to be fused together. Large color blocks and material details blend into the antique furniture and the classical details to form a unique living space.
