| DESIGN NAME: Iranian Sarv PRIMARY FUNCTION: Traditional Dress INSPIRATION: The culture and history of different nations can be the best source of inspiration. Therefore, the images of women in Iranian paintings are inspiring for the designer, especially since there are some rudimentary contests in the traditional Iranian clothing sector, which has been dealt with less, despite the fact that Iran has a noble potential in the field of art and clothing. The designer is interested in using Iranian costumes as a functional cover in various events. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This traditional dress is the combination of Safavieh era and modern.In Safavieh era they used Termeh fabric and a kind of handmade called Serme-Douzi for dress.Nowadays,Terme OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This dress is only for wearing, and the only advantage of it is the design, the combination of fabrics and models, the color and the work of Persian handicrafts and Iranian fabric. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: part of this project started in Januery 2018 and after stop for a while then finished in February 2019, was location in Mazandaran, Iran in my workeroom FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The most important material of this clothes are Termeh cloth, Velvet and Crochet Jewelry, decorative stones, Sermeh for Sermeh-Douzi (A kind of decorative wire which was produced by gold and silver and used on a cloth that exclusively belongs to Iran.)All the materials, due to the harmony of color and material, are accurately gather together from different zones of Iran. The whole steps of designing, such as design, pattern, cutting, sewing the shirt, coat, socks and all handmade were done by designer. Refer to PDF file for more information. Of course, it should be noted that the design of the tree behind the coat is an Iranian design and does not relate to the designer's creativity, but the material composition is designed by the designer. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Size: small TAGS: Embroidery, Dresses, womens fashion, traditional dress, Iranian dress, art, Iranian Sarv RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The ultimate dress results from the internet search and research on Iranian clothing and fabrics, reviewing old pictures and drawings, researching materials used, and searching for the best and high quality material, and participating in handmade classes on the fabric which it is special Iranian arts. CHALLENGE: The main problems were the lack of reliable materials, with high Quality material and special fabric, or the difficulty of finding this material in the Iranian market, hard access to research resources, and the weaknesses in sewing techniques.
