RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The project Stone Village-Hidden Hotspring started ten years ago. The owner’s original intention was to save only several yards in his deserted home village to leave childhood memories. Later, inspired by experts of village construction who activate ancient villages by art, the idea was extended to the rebirth of ravine lands. Stone Village-Hidden Hotspring is meant to redefine one of the villages named Denghua Village.

CHALLENGE:
The project is surrounded by spectacular natural landscape, so the challenge was to figure out a perfect construction plan to avoid any damages to the precious natural resources. Meanwhile, due to the careful selection of construction mode, the protection of the original architecture and the collection and reuse of old building materials, then would require a much more meticulous planning scheme for the process of construction.
