| DESIGN NAME: Zhuhai Hengqin CRCC Plaza Project PRIMARY FUNCTION: Retail and Office INSPIRATION: The site is located in Zhuhai Hengqin island, a more and more open and creative city development zone, facing to Macao. Based on the culture of CRCC and the city, we want to create an architecture giving more consideration of the people and nature. A sky bridge looked like a raining cloud, representing the weather character of Zhuhai city, which is flying through the site, and wrapping around the towers, is linked giving more connections between four towers on skylobby levels. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Hengqin CRCC Plaza features a signature sky bridge which symbolises integration, connection and communication that links all four towers within the development and offers office, retail and leisure facilities as well as outdoor terraces. Orientation of the buildings take full advantage of the site and surroundings. The two taller Grade-A office towers occupy the southeast and northeast corners of the site, standing at road intersections with better land values and views. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The users may have more opportunities to explore the functions of outdoor terraces on skybridge and podium. They may easily communicate with surrounding users, and flexibly integrate between office and retail. The skybridge is also over the top of other sites giving users to explore the fantastic view to Macao. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Project sits in a prime area on the Hengqin New District, in close proximity to Cotai, Macau. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Positioning the project as a Zhu Hai signature attraction which will be a three-dimensional vertical landscape for the future central business district. The complex is expected to use signature skybridge that could create more loops on horizontally and vertically throughout the site. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Gross Floor Area* (sqm): 200,700 sqm Land Area* (sqm): 34542.97 sqm TAGS: New Commercial Building, Skybridge, Renovation, Cultural Tourism-oriented Complex RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Creating a loop in the sky which symbolises integration, connection and communication, Hengqin CRCC Plaza features a signature sky bridge that links all four towers within the development and offers office, retail and leisure facilities as well as outdoor terraces. CHALLENGE: The signature sky bridge integrates retail podium loop with two glass elevators at the corner of two super high-rise towers from retail ground floor to office sky lobby, creating more loops on horizontally and vertically throughout the site.
