| DESIGN NAME: Delhaas C19 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Style Imaging INSPIRATION: Black and white photography of the late 30's. Looking at phothographers like Man Ray and his abstract photogram work. Also the 30's period of eastern europe and mostly Russian photographers. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Shooting mood imagery and style photographs vor Marjolein Delhaas 2019 collection of planners and notebooks. Create an atmosphere and overview which suits the new collection in a black and white feeling. Modern yet timeless OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: With keywords and styles of the client the visual development was made in close conjuction with photographer and client. During shooting client is in direct contact with the photographer who had the visual creative lead. Final choises were made during shooting with the client present. To be used on various digital platforms (social and press) and for online sales purposes. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The realisation of these visual style images took about a month. First starting half of august with inspirational keywords and moodboards. Which lead to set piece choices, main visual style and key focus directions in the end of august. Shooting started end august/beginning september. 3 days of shooting and aone week of post-production. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Photography and Photo Manipulation Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Digital photography on High-res camera and Photo manipulation with Adobe Photoshop SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: different digital sizes TAGS: planners, notebook, graphic design, black&white, 2019, diary, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Visual research as start: Black&White Photography of the 30's, Man Ray Photograms for abstract inspiration. Translete these into modern day photography. Alexander Rodchenko Photography for line work, these translated in the choosen angles and point of view for the shots.Also looking at contemporary photography, specially in black & white still life photography. Due to the nature of the subjects usage of strong lines and hard lighting. Goal to achieve contemporary yet timeless visuals.
