| DESIGN NAME: Reggae Music PRIMARY FUNCTION: Poster Design INSPIRATION: Reggae was the music that was heard far and wide because it carried with it the aspirations of a new generation determined to stand on its own two feet and be counted. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a series of posters celebrating the great Jamaican reggae music.It takes the most distinctive colors and elements of reggae music. Reggae music is not just a style, but a soul. This poster series will show the most authentic reggae attitude and let more people know about this great music genre. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: When people see the posters, they can remember this unique music style and go back to listen to the most classic reggae music. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2018 in Wuhan and finished in April 2018 . FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The poster series shows multiple dimensions of reggae music, such as reggae music's appeal for peace, reggae music's godfather Bob Marley and his representative songs, reggae's style of music, and reggae music's representative colors. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 70cm X 50cm ,outdoor posting and network communication TAGS: Reggae music, Jamaica，Music, Great music, Musicians RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Through interviews with numerous reggae musicians and fans, we transformed their essential reggae attitudes into visual posters. CHALLENGE: Due to the uniqueness of reggae music, we removed a lot of other elements when making the poster and kept the most authentic elements of reggae under the advice of many reggae musicians.
