DESIGN DETAILS
DESIGN NAME:
Xin Fen Ji

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Liquor

INSPIRATION:
Most of the common medicines or health products in our life are capsules, so that when HYSC see capsules, can associate them with treatment and health care. With this inertia, HYSC associate the double-edged nature of wine with its similarities.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The main body of glass bottles is to borrow the shape of common drugs in life. HYSC use an ancient technique called "mayacha" to conceive layers of these shapes, which represent different states after drinking. Use an open mouth to match the frame to highlight the name to express a cheerful atmosphere. So HYSC found a design point of view, the meaning of the existence of wine is to make people happy and exciting, the treatment is not pleasant, retaining the perfection of every detail.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
This paper expounds the concept of graphic design conveying wisdom and creativity, and appeals to everyone not to forget the original intention of the existence of wine. The shape of the capsule is designed to relieve worries. So let this packaging break the inertia of Chinese liquor industry in the past. The tactile paint on the packaging makes him feel good and won't easily slip from his hands.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in January 2018 and ended in September 2018. The design was completed in Changsha, Hunan Province, and the proofing was carried out in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, and the production was carried out in Changde, Hunan Province.

FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY:
Packaging Design

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
The gift box combines EVA with cardboard, uses the opening method of the capsule, and the capsule shell is made of EVA, which is mixed with electroplating. With the help of the soft, shock-proof and pressure-reducing characteristics of the EVA material, it can absorb sunshine and have good function at the same time. For bottle body, spray tactile paint outside the glass bottle (a kind of paint that feels like rubber).

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
The glass bottle has a capacity of 480 ml.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
HYSC reconstruct the shape of capsules, which resonates with the improvement of the common character of wine. Everyone thinks that capsules can bring treatment or health care. Liquor is the same. Drinking in moderation will bring excitement and take away unhappiness. So HYSC choose this shape and this concept to spread, which will eventually attract the attention of consumers and get a sense of belonging, and expand the concept of drinking.

CHALLENGE:
The technology needed in this case is not easy to implement, because it is time-consuming and laborious. But we have to admit that it is a better display technology than other common graphic design. However, when it comes to mass production, we need to compromise.

I am in awe of the design of Xin Fen Ji, winner of the A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category. The unique shape of the glass bottle borrows from the shape of common drugs, while the ancient technique of 'mayacha' is used to create layers of the shapes, representing different states after drinking. Furthermore, the open mouth of the frame helps to highlight the name, creating a cheerful atmosphere. Wang Qi Jun has managed to capture the double-edged nature of wine, and the capsules shape resonates with this. The attention to detail in the design is impressive and the use of EVA and cardboard in the gift box, combined with the electroplated capsule shell, creates a soft and shock-proof finish. An impressive design that captures the essence of wine, Xin Fen Ji is a deserving winner of the A' Design Award.

I'm in awe of this award-winning work! The creativity behind this "Liquor" packaging design is truly inspiring. The use of an ancient technique called "mayacha" to conceive layers of shapes that represent different states after drinking is remarkable and the open mouth to match the frame to highlight the name is a fantastic touch. The concept of associating the double-edged nature of wine with its similarities is ingenious and the research and effort that went into reconstructing the shape of capsules to bring out a sense of treatment and health care is simply remarkable. The challenges of mass producing this work is a testament to the dedication of the designer and I'm truly impressed with the results. Congratulations to all involved!
