| DESIGN NAME: Sexy PRIMARY FUNCTION: Table INSPIRATION: The predilection of this design arose after the death in 2015 of my the mother (Rika Oliwira). I still wanted to create something beautiful that my mother would have been proud of. A creative design with which I can give the name of my mother to the model. But it did not stay with one model. Soon after the first design of a coffee table, a serious collection of tables was designed. Where each exceptional model represents the name of my mother, children and wife. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The dining table from the collection makes the feeling of sitting around the table differently, not being able to use the head ends. That makes the design so different. With 6 people at the table, the design and shape of the dining table is still maintained, wherever you look! Practically you would say that you have to use 8 people, but the shape of the design is gone and that is exactly what I did not want with this model. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This design can be used for the private market. Because it is a stubborn and in my experience timelessly sexy design, it in combination with other interior, furniture and lighting designs will reinforce each other. And the design fits in the high segment. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design project was started in 2015 in Groningen, the Netherlands and is currently being further developed and produced as prototypes in 2018 in Bosnia. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The underlying idea of the design is to have the "A" of the logo come back in shape in a table design. The challenge of this final design is to have the shape of the A on the ends of the table serve as the support for the top. And with this you create a design like that, where you can only sit on the long sides of the table and therefore the design of the table always remains visible. That is also the idea behind this design. Because the table is made of solid walnut and / or oak wood, it is built up in layers and glued. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Production dimensions for the dining table are: 200 cm wide x 100 cm deep x 760 cm high, 220 wide x 100 cm deep x 760 cm high, 240 cm wide, 100 cm deep, 760 cm high. Production is performed is Walnut wood oiled, Oak wood oiled and Ash wood oiled TAGS: sexy, dining table, table collection, Oliwira, Kim, Jazz, Brad, Mas wood, coffee table RESEARCH ABSTRACT: There have been no direct research objectives for this design. However, through the social media channels including Facebook and Instagram, research was done by showing the impressions of the designs in order to find out how international design, interior design and living sector would respond to the designs. On this the reaction and likes were very good. A number of fellow designers have also spoken about this table collection in connection with possible combinations of other interior and furniture designs. CHALLENGE: The creative challenge of this design actually came about after my mother died in 2015. I wanted to continue her girls name in a beautiful interior design. And because there was already a logo for the label was invented where an A in processed, it quickly became clear to the A of the logo in the design of the interior to come back. And so quickly a complete table collection was designed with models that have been given the names of my mother, children and wife.
