| DESIGN NAME: Luck Art Hotel PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hotel INSPIRATION: Dalian is a coastal city surrounded by mountains and seas, the layers on the mountains left the visual traces in the city, it shows the poetic age by its ups and downs. This hotel is different from the traditional hotel's excessive enthusiasm and ostentation, we hope that the guests can get the real rest here. With professional lighting design, even the withered branches seem to live again and to be able to sway. For guests in different areas, we set up different circulations for check-in. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is located in a semi-enclosed courtyard beside the main road. The outdoor integrates with the environment strictly, that created a chic and rich atmosphere. The interior space is dominated by white color, then arranged in groups by the multiple black lines in each interface in order to emphasize the profile of the space. The hotel was very well received excellent response from all the guests who had experienced here and was praised as the Peach Blossom Garden in the busy city. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The user's visual sense of space and material is integrated into the design, allowing people and space to integrate and interact with each other. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Travertine, White marble, Stainless steel, High-End plasters. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Project area: 1000 square meters. TAGS: Hotel, High-ending, Luxury, Semi-closed, Atmosphere, B & W, Texture. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In an attempt to study the poeticization of this space, the water is reflected in mountains and rivers, sometimes it exists and sometimes it does not. Water, mountain, road, these three elements are intertwined in space, in order to achieve the impact and communication between materials and symbols. I apply parametric design and other design methods to it, that achieves the harmony and perfect visual effect, this is a useful attempt in space design. CHALLENGE: This project was positioned to hide from the city while exquisite at the very beginning time, its difficulty also is how to reconcile the surrounding environments with this space, so in this way, it can meet the intrinsic needs of the space and can also be symbiotic with the surrounding environments. The use of bamboo elements in the external environment, in the Taoist-Theory: "No better living without bamboo". That is to say, isolation and harmony at the same time as the world. NAME: Dalian Polytechnic University PROFILE: The school was founded in 1958 in Shenyang as the Shenyang Institute of Light Industry. In 1970, it was transferred to Dalian, and renamed as the Dalian Institute of Light Industry. In 2006, it was promoted in 2006 from the rank of the institute to the rank of university. It is the only institution of higher education in the northeast of China specializing in light industry, food, textiles, and art design. There are about 15,000 students on the 85-acre (340,000 m2) campus. Subjects taught include engineering, science, arts, management, and economics. |
