| DESIGN NAME: Residence of Hung PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The residence is the internal looks of the urban space. The highly-dense urban development of Taiwan has sparked the diverse imagination for a residence. It is one of the issues how to upgrade the living space efficiency. The house owners of this project are a young couple. They hope to create a leisurely holiday feeling in the living space. We build the broad public field, open kitchen, user-friendly flow arrangement, and high functions, and at the same time keep the privacy of staying alone. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The space featuring the industrial style is tuned by the red brick house with a sense of laziness. Through the extension of the TV wall accompanied by the shoe cabinet of the barn style, the vintage industrial style is shown, partially dotted with the hippie country colors and integrated with the mild atmosphere of a home. The partition walls are dismantled to arrange the open public area. The floor of the wood pattern connects the living room and the study room. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The hospitable owners hope to receive their friends and relatives well. To meet this need, we first make the glass partition of the multi-functional study room. After the door sheets shown, the public space can be expanded to the double size. The broad public space can accommodate up to more than 15 people without the feeling of crowdedness. The open design of the kitchen and dining space makes the user interact and talk with the people in the public field and creates a user-friendly and warm home space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The original interior layout arranges the fields of small space, causing many blind spots. It is not broad enough to manifest the trait of interior lighting. Therefore, one of the original four rooms is dismantled and becomes the multi-functional room after the glass sliding door is set up. After the door sheets are all open, the room is connected to the living room to become a broad public field to accommodate more than 15 family and friends. When the door sheets are closed, it is time for the couple to stay with each other or deal with personal affairs. As for the usage of colors, the ceiling is presented in the simple white color. The wood pattern and concrete floor are paved for the fields of the two sides. The large-area style wall represents the field characteristics. For example, the living room is the red-brick wall. The walls of the multi-functional study room are painted green. The light blue door sheets are used for the storage room in the back of the dining room. The kitchen island made of the blue brick surface encircles the kitchen and dining area, creating the lively and splendid characteristic of the industrial style. At the same time, the embellishment of the succulent plants is also a major feature. They are exhibited at the corners of the house to create the harmonious relationship between man and nature. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: Interior, Design, Residence, modern country style, loft RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The overall design adopts the open layout. By dismantling one room and using the glass partition for the multi-functional room in the back of the living room, we expand the public field to the double size. The two-floor materials, wood pattern and concrete, separate the shown. The material changes of the walls create the major visual effects of the fields and become the eye-catching field definition. CHALLENGE: In construction, we encounter the irregular cross sections of the old bricks and need to make comparisons and arrangements repeatedly, which takes techniques of the workers with the sufficient related experience. As for the design of the shelf in the multi-functional room, the original iron pieces have penetrated the wooden works, so the ladder structure should be added. The middle shelf should be combined with the C-type steel of baking finish. two-floor, the support of the wall should be reinforced.
