| DESIGN NAME: Return PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: The antique table and wooden stool that sat by the greenish wall, as I remembered, had countless nicks. Each of them represents a story of its own. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Washitsu that was build back in the Japanese colonial era was always filled with the smell of home. It is the scent that belongs to this specific culture, back in the old times. As time goes by and generation changes, that wooden home has become a memory of the past, replaced by convenience, style and glamour. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The owner of this house has been working overseas for over 20 years, now the life away from home has come to an end. After all the hassle in this busy world, this space is a place where he belongs, a place where he calls home. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Enjoying life in a brand-new architecture with the taste and sense of the new generation, humble but wealthy. The traditional stone wall re-united with a clean and refreshing modern dining space, represents the communication between generations. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 138 square meters TAGS: - RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The display of the tea set, the touch of Japanese traditional Tatami, described the essence of the era that we remember and cherish. The nicks of the wooden stools and table continue to mark the trace of stories yet to be told. CHALLENGE: The applications of decoration materials pursue the agreeable balance between the aesthetic compositions and environmental protections. By means of the applications of innovative experiments, the reinforcement of design works uniqueness and originality amiably integrates the technology and life style. The efforts consolidating the diverse tangible and intangible values are now comprehensively demonstrating the design skills and aesthetics to the design works as well.
