| DESIGN NAME: Aesthetic PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Space INSPIRATION: The client has been doing business all over the place and considers this single house situated in Danshui, New Taipei city, as the paradise for the mind and soul.Designer tactfully applies the syntax of arts and design to build a serene place mixed with English luxurious classics and American stylish grace through a simple beige and light grey space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Mix and Match materials through comprehensive freestyle. Victorian style spread to Pennsylvania, U.S. through the Great Britain ruling, which was further elaborated into a fashion style. The living room and restaurant for family members to enjoy the parent-children relation and receive party guests fully highlight the spacious momentum of the overall space through the penetration layout of the first floor. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Upon entering the hallway, one will be affected by the aesthetic imagination wandering between sentimental arts and rational design. The designer boldly integrates the first floor into a mixed space of living room, dining room and the kitchen. The space resembles New York uptown and is filled with the grace, pleasure and beauty of past Victorian style. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: There are four floors to the house while the stairway connecting all floors becomes another focus of the space. The entire central stairway penetrating the floors and leading to the skyline adopts elevated design. The plain beige wall and scoured white marble kitchen with sink is formed in one piece visually. The island table and the comfortable chairs become more brilliant under the multiple reflections of cast iron chandelier and the outdoor lighting and greenness. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The indoor area is approximately 400 square feet. TAGS: American stylish, Victorian style, mix and match, European classic RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Taking consideration of the cooking habits of the house owner, the designer separate the kitchen from the living room using a wallboard so that the island table with sink can be separated from the integrated with the long dining table to exhibit the family worship for a spontaneous and carefree spirit. The study room adopts a neutral color tone of brown and grey white that stabilizes the mind. The calm and subtle desk corresponds with the shiny golden table lamp, lighting up the focus of the study room and fully reflecting the clients personality of passion for arts and reading. CHALLENGE: The second floor is a multifunction social platform with a fitness room and guest house. The second floor not only offers dormitory for guests and friends but also serves as a LOHAS premise for people to relax their body, mind and soul. The light purple and grey white space of the master room at third floor features sophisticated wooden planks that build up the delicate classic European culture. The master room is also decorated with soft arts, flowery wall paper and curtain to highlight the subtle, comfortable and majestic quality of the room.
