| DESIGN NAME: Ocean Collector PRIMARY FUNCTION: Design for art collector INSPIRATION: Ocean collection is inspired by the client's private nature art gallery.The client's dream is that while enjoying the exotic island scenery, it can also show guests various natural, artistic collections that the client has collected from expeditions around the world, in order to better enrich the experience of sea travel to share with friends on board. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Elegant hull proportions and the overall modern design language is the key to ocean collection project. At the same time, the design characteristics of full beam bay window make the master room a good field of vision. The art gallery with its movable side doors allows guests to protect the owner's privacy and the artistry of the ship while visiting the owner's own lounge. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A large full beam master stateroom with a Zen meditation and reading room on the bridge deck. Four guests room and Two VIP room on the main deck. 6.5 meters tender and a 6-meter rescue boat and incredible of small toys, 12-meter helicopter landing area on the stern sun deck, Jacuzzi and sun beds cushion on the front sun deck. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design process started in November 2017 and finish in January 2018 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The yacht is designed to be manufactured with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 60m length overall, 12.50m beam overall, 3.05m draft, 1150 t half load displacement, 16 crews, 12 guests, 15.5 knots max.speed, 13 knots cruising speed, 120.000 liters fuel capacity, 20.000liters fresh water capacity, 2 x Cat 1500 bhp 3512c a rating main engines TAGS: Modern yacht, ocean collector, explorer yacht, super yacht, yacht RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Ocean collection main research direction is to meet the needs of the client's interior space Oriental aesthetics, as well as new artistic processing methods and materials applications. The client hopes that the interior design of ocean collection can include the water artistic features and the oriental modern sense of the interior style. Through the study of oriental aesthetics, the transparent blue resin art is a very suitable material for the static waterfall. Such a static waterfall can also be used as the oriental screen in the owner's lounge room. CHALLENGE: For today's yacht design, automated extensible balconies are a challenging engineering technique, especially extending the indoor balcony with French windows. Such a structural design, the difficulty lies in the scope of the appropriate scalability, the specific load-bearing range, as well as the manufacture of ductile balconies.
