| DESIGN NAME: Martin PRIMARY FUNCTION: Smart sofa INSPIRATION: We hope to provide users with a better living room leisure experience. As an important part of the living room, we think the sofa is not just an appliance, but also an "environment&qu UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Martin is a smart sofa. Martin has an intelligent temperature control system that allows the user to enjoy the appropriate temperature in any weather. Martin sets a multipoint pressure sensor, and when the user is sedentary, there will be a vibration reminder to avoid physical injury due to sedentary. Martin is equipped with a induction light, which can saves space and avoid the user to manual switch light. In addition, the Martin is equipped with a wireless charging bracket that allows users to use mobile phones for wireless charging. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: When the user is approaching the sofa, the induction light can recognize the signal through human body and light, and then make the feedback of the light. When the user sitting on the sofa, the sofa built-in temperature control system will automatically adjust to a comfortable temperature. In addition, the user can also adjust the temperature by the small bracket on the side of the sofa. When users rest on Martin, the multi-point pressure sensor will collect user's sitting data. Martin can feedback to users through vibration, so as to help users improve sedentary bad habits. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Guangzhou in October 2017 and was completed in Guangzhou in February 2018 and will be on display in Shanghai in September 2018. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The intelligent temperature adjustment system is adopted to ensure that the temperature is changed accurately and safely. Multi point pressure sensing technology is adopted to realize the accurate induction of the user's sitting posture in a timely and long way. The human body, the light double intelligent induction technology, let the user get rid of the manual turn off light. Wireless charging technology allows users to recharge the electronic devices at any time. We want to be able to integrate the results of our research into our design so that more people can benefit from our design. CHALLENGE: Our highlight is the placement of an intelligent temperature control system and a multi point pressure sensor in the sofa. It is very difficult to implant so many things and make the sofa warm while keeping the hair soft and comfortable.
