| DESIGN NAME: Schawlow PRIMARY FUNCTION: Jewellery box INSPIRATION: The most primitive state of materials is gold and silver, which are processed into refined Jewelry through smelting. By using the silver solution design manifestation and taking melting process of silver as creative point, the flowing sense during heated liquefying process of the raw material silver is restored to the Schawlow jewelry decoration box. In Schawlow jewelry package, three categories of package including ring, bracelet and necklace are set. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is gentle like water and indestructible just like gold. By using the silver solution design manifestation and taking melting process of silver as creative point, the flowing sense during heated liquefying process of the raw material silver is restored to the Schawlow jewelry decoration box. With unique packaging, it is effectively differentiated from other brands of the same category. Besides, the distinguishing degree is strengthened. With the gentle hand feeling just like the texture of further strengthened OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Water-like gentle modelling design is aimed at strengthening the product texture and having the consumers further feel a kind of real pureness besides the touch sense of fingertip. The gift of kindly feelings will be shown by opening the package through a piece of finedraw, which is very surprising and beloved. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: During the experiment, we used the 3D printing technology to test the opening and closing performance of the box, and later used the plastic plating technology to realize the metal reflective texture. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 250*250*100（mm） TAGS: Packing box,Jewelry,Silver,F RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Schawlow, a young jewelry design brand, follows the technological philosophy of real stuff and inclusive and open design thought. It is further necessary to have a unique pathway to develop the market. As the external intuitive feeling experience of jewelry, the packaging decides the consumers’ first impression on the product. For a jewelry brand, what I value most is the quality of materials, followed by design. The most primitive state of materials is gold and silver, which are processed into refined Jewelry through smelting. By using the silver solution design manifestation and taking melting process of silver as creative point, the flowing sense during heated liquefying process of the raw material silver is restored to the Schawlow jewelry decoration box. In Schawlow jewelry package, three categories of package including ring, bracelet and necklace are set. The design is differentiated through three different states of the silver during its melting. As for the necklace packaging box, the temperature is just increased to the melting point namely when the silver block is melted to a mass. As for the bracelet packaging box, the silver has melted to the liquid namely when it flows downward. As for the ring, the temperature is continuously increased namely the drop of water generates when the liquid collides. It completely subverts the packaging of the jewelry industry and adds its own brand value to the more high-end jewelry. CHALLENGE: The two biggest problem encountered in the whole process is how to break the traditional jewelry box modeling and make it a unique landmark and how to maintain the integrity of the structure on the basis of ensuring the normal opening of the structure. We conducted a series of studies, Chinese and foreign well-known jewelry brand packaging and packaging, high-end luxury goods in order to break the normal procedure, bold use of special-shaped box, box type ordinary compared to regular production, become the biggest obstacle, in order to solve this problem, I have made the change of process, from metal material into plastic.
