| DESIGN NAME: Click High Chair PRIMARY FUNCTION: Kids Furniture INSPIRATION: Inspired by our own kids, the Click High Chair was designed for a contemporary family with a conscious mindset using natural resources, sustainable wood and a fair working environment. It is a durable and long lasting product. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Click High Chair is unique in its simplicity, contemporary and playful aesthetic, ergonomic lines and sustainability. It is designed to bring our kids together with the family on everyday meals, encouraging healthy habits, learning and developing together in a safe, confortable and beautiful piece of furniture. Accomodate babies from 6 months to kids up to 8 years old and it is flat packed, intuitively assembled in less than two minutes, that simple! OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Click high chair can be used by babies from 6 months until 7 years old. It comes with a 5 point harness for safety and a removeable tray that can be used for play or for feeding while the baby cannot reach the dinning table yet. It is ergonomic, comfortable, light and safe and blends in with our contemporary houses while keeping it fun. As they grow, develop their balance and reach the table, parentes remove the tray and kids can use the dining table with ease and comfort. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with the birth of our first child as an unpretentious personal project. As we researched, developed and saw the reaction of every visitor who loved it in our house, in 2016 we decided to develop it and turn into an industrial product, which we launched in 2017 and received the Museu da Casa Brasileira Design Award, the most prestigious and traditional design award in Brazil. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The project started in January 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil with the birth of our first child as an unpretentious personal project. As we researched, developed and saw thpositive reaction of every visitor who loved it, in 2016 we decided to further develop it and turn into an industrial product, which we launched in 2017 and received the Museu da Casa Brasileira Design Award, the most prestigious and traditional design award in Brazil. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Assembled size: 55,00cm x 56,00cm x 78,00 (height) Box size: 60,00cm x 84,00cm x 10cm(height) Materials: Multilaminated wood. Non-toxic finishings. Assembles bu the end costumer in less than 2 minutes. TAGS: highchair, kids design, design for kids, designers highchair, high chair, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research started with kids ergonomics, understanding key points of kids anatomy and its proportions with growth, developing a product that respects kids anatomy and adapts to their growth. National and international safety measures took a big portion of our research to meet all national and international safety standards. Consumers research also pointed the need for a conscious yet fitting product for a modern household, while keeping a just price and fair practice. CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge was finding the right manufacturer. Product development takes a long time fine tuning all aspects of design, aesthetics and safety. Finding the right manufacturer took and extra-long time, most industries would just close their doors to us. Kids design has many restrictions and safety measures, so fitting all the restrictions together with a harmonious product takes many trials and errors, testing all prototypes right at home with our daily inspirations, our two kids.
