| DESIGN NAME: Sesa PRIMARY FUNCTION: Office Building INSPIRATION: As always our aim is to provide the best design for our customers needs. We asked what the need and according to their business we decided that we need more color. Besides it has to be a sustainable design with its functions, materials, textures..etc. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Our goal was simple. To create a contemporary and functional spaces in an existing building. It was hard to work with an existing building because it is really hard to solve areas when the main building construction system is blocking your way. Our customers love color, and ask for it. So we made a colorful, energetic efficient working spaces for them. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Our design has to be developable and sustainable. For our customer, it has to be useful and modular. For both sides, we reach to our aim. our designs and ideas combined with their needs and become to an energetic working area. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: the construction was started in June 2016 in Izmir-kemalpasa and finished in September 2016. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Before starting the construction, we finalize the design process and decide all products and materials. We wanted to create open offices and get the day light to all spaces. Transparency was what we need. So mainly we use glass separators for this. Concrete, hardwood, steel..etc. were the promoters. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: the building was 1000m2 in total. 3 floors. all floors are in use for different purposes. TAGS: Energy, natural, colorful, modern&esthetic, sustainable RESEARCH ABSTRACT: 1 Prepare an interview with the client and learn about the requirements according to an existing building. 2 Start to study the building and prepare a presentation for layout solutions. we concur about the layout. 3 Finalise the design and 3D modeling according to environmental situations. 4 create the technical solutions and material research before completing the stud. CHALLENGE: 1 The biggest issue is to make a completely new design in an existing building and it's environment. 2 It is also a great challenge for our client because we did the construction step by step while they were continuing to work inside.
